Pure Silver Lidded Bowl

While looking around a thrift store, my wife comes up to me and asks "Is this silver?"- No idea but it looked like it! I looked it up later and it turns out to be a Nakshi-style lidded bowl by Bhatter's from India. They work in pure silver! It reminds me of a covered mustard sauce dish, but it could be a number of things. It weighs over 4 ounces without the plastic insert! Paid $2.52.
