From the land of the Bluenose.....well there was lots of strangers in Kentville the other day when Marie and I went to pick apples!
We soon got in tight with the locals and had a great time!
Got into the action and scored a goal on this bouy who seemed to have seeds for brains!
Anyway we parted ways and got down to the knitty gritty and picked some most tasty apples and rewarded ourselves with a local Chinese buffet that was "sum gud youz!"
This was the driveway to the upick in all it's glory. Would have loved to swing around the old place.
On the way home Marie let me stop for a quick swing that produced 5 coins before she honked Otto's horn!
Was a great day with the better half but equally enjoyable was the next as Rick from Sweetdreams Detector, Donnie White from Sydney joined Navy Davy and I for a hunt!
We hit the island once again and the coins started just about as soon as the machines were turned on. The ever present sou'wester was blowing and we had a mix of sun and clouds!
We didn't stop for a Tim's the whole time and before we knew it it was that time to depart.
Navy Davy hit a silver ring and a 1952 quarter in his 62 coin quota
while Donnie managed 43 coins including a 1953 dime
Rick netted a cool 53 coins and a dewy marked 925 (far right)
and this bouy 50 on the nose including a Brit pig penny, a buckle, key clip, dewy and an earing with the 925er stamp with a $7.89 and a half (cut penny).
Good day with good weather and great company.................does it get any better?
Also my daughter Kayla turned 21 on the 21st!
