Pumpkin patch hunting

There would have to have been something there in the old days. Ie.: simply hunting ag crops, of any sort, won't necessarily be any good. Sure, a fieldworker will loose a coin now and then, but not as good as sites with more foot traffic, like where people recreated, partied, lived and slept, money changed hands (saloon, stage stop, etc...). So if you say they were part of "old farms", seems you'd do better around the farm itself, like ... the lawns in front and back of the house.

I think if you are going to the ones where they have contests, mazes, haunted houses ......you might find a few things ....but as said by Tom ,if there were something there prior you might find a coin or two....
I have hunted a few around here but only came home with a pumpkin! ;) :)
