Here's a recipe I have used for a number of years. It is kind of like a cake with pumpkin pie inside. I no longer fix a pumpkin pie and my kids would revolt if a Thanksgiving or Christmas went by and I didn't fix this.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Start to finish: 1 hour 10 minutes

Notes: Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

I subsitutute Pumpkin Pie Spice for cinnamon

1 Package yellow cake mix, Set aside 1 cup
3/4 cup butter, Set aside 1/4 cup
4 eggs
16 ounces pumpkin
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup chopped nuts

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

-Combine cake mix, 1 egg, and butter and press in 13 inch x 9 inch cake pan (sides and bottom).
-Combine pumpkin, 3 eggs, condensed milk, brown sugar, and 1/4 cup of sugar and pour on top of cake mixture.
-Combine remaining cake mix, cinnamon, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/4 cup butter and crumble on top of pumpkin mixture.
-Sprinkle with chopped nut.
-Bake for 35-40 minutes or until cake is done (center is firm).
 

This looks yummy, Wes. Can I substitute 1 can of pumpkin pie filling for the actual pumpkin and spices?
