I have a old 6" tripple sluice keene dredge
Also have a honda gx670 and wish to use it on this dredge as when I bought it
I thought I would. Be able to use 2 p180 pump I already have
Talked to pat at keene he said it would not be enough pump for the big sluice box

Problem is the gx 670 is a 1 1/8 keyed shaft and its hardened
I can machine it to a 1in but threading it is going to be tough
Pat said there's issues with pedistal pumps that large from harmonic vibration
Destroying bearings
My two option ar to machine the shaft and attempt to thread or machine the impeller to fit a keyed shaft at 1"
Or a pedistal pump with a nifty harmonic damptner
Kind of torn and looking for some input on which direction
Cost Is about the same the added weight in not a issue if I do pedistal pump because this thing is already a monster and another 20 lbs won't make any difference
Thanks in advance
