Hey look, you have the same initials as the Author of that book.. LOL .. but on a serious note. Where is the kindle version?

Sorry Jeff, but I feel that short of good old-fashioned mentorship, paper is a better learning tool. My books are intended to be ongoing reference--not a story for the bus. Thanks for the idea though--may go ahead with it yet. rgrdz, cjc index

Clive,
I purchased two of your excellent books and I would purchase the above book on Kindle!
HH!

I bought and read your book, but owning an Infinium didn't find it all that helpful since you mostly refer to the White's machine. It would have been a better read if other PIs were covered with specifics on their different controls and nomenclatures. I can't honestly say I would recommend it to anyone using any PI other than the White's. I was hoping for more info than my Infinium owner's manual provides, and it fell short.

Pulse-hunting isn't a brand--its a technology and a set of operating characteristics which are universal to all PI's. There are also certain imperitives as to how to most effectively use that technology to find gold at the shore. Sounds like you guys would be better off with one of the other books on the subject--on Kindle.

Cjc, you seem to be anti kindle. Perhaps if it were explained to you what kindle is. Kindle isn't just a device to read ebooks, its a platform. I have it on my android phone and who doesn't have their phone on them 24/7 ? My library of kindle books are with me 24/7. For someone that sells their own books and doesn't embrace kindle. That's like someone selling something made in china and doesn't embrace Wal-Mart, target, kmart. That's like someone selling mail order and doesn't embrace usps, ups, fedex. Kindle is a platform to sell your goods to anybody with a phone, computer, tv or most things that can connect to the internet. Just sayin'

What's that supposed to mean?? PIs are basically beep and dig machines, and for sure not a brand, which I never inferred. BUT, there are differences in operating machines by different companies, and I just thought the book should have gone into using the other brands that are made for salt water use. There aren't that many of them, it would not have been hard to do. I started with a BFO in 1970, and have used many different machines as technology advanced. I like beep and dig, and have spent many years surf fishing so I have a fairly good understanding of cuts, currents, black sand, etc. Perhaps if you do another printing you could add a chapter about what different companies' controls mean in regards to gain etc, since they all must operate similarly, but their controls are labeled differently. I do like your Excal book with the CD on the sounds, very helpful. I also must be too much of an old timer, I like my books in print, don't carry a cell phone, and don't feel the need to be connected to the rest of the world at all times.

Hi Gunsil
For me not to acknowledge the truth of what you are saying would be backwards, but I also have to think of my dealers. Where there are authors who solicit dealers and then undersell them on E-bay--that's not how I operate. Similarly, I can't very well sell print copies while at the same time outmoding them. Thanks though I appreciate the idea.
Good Luck Detecting,
clive
