Got out yesterday morning and delivered the 6 pack to JR. I wanted to finish this site. I went low and slow over the last 30% of the yard. I did manage to pull 2 more 1964 Rosies. They were very close to trash. I am glad that I dug those 2 almost masked targets. 4 wheats, another Canadian penny and a silver spoon were also dug there. Like a dummy I tried to straighten out the spoon and it snapped. The silver spoon is an 1847 Rogers Brothers.
I finished the site at about 3 PM. I shook JR's hand and thanked him again for the permission and then went next door and secured another permission. I had dreams of more silvers, but after gridding both the front and side yards, the most notable dig was a 14 zincoln coin spill at 2" deep. I did eke out a couple shell tokens and a 1940-D wheat when I sample searched the back yard before calling it quits for the day.
I am at 14 silvers so far for 2016, 11 ahead of last years pace and $17 more face value in total coins over this time last season.
