Psssst.. Over here... ------------------------------> I think I found a diamond ring.

Hello Everyone!

I think I may have found my first diamond ring! It was found approx. 8 inches deep along an old sidewalk strip that is probably over a 100 years old. I tried to take it to a local jewelry store and they told me due to liability, that they no longer can render an opinion on a found jewelry... Wierd huh?

Is there any other way to check to see if a stone is a diamond? Any information would be greatly appreciated. BTW, it was deep and came out of the ground looking shiney and the stone still set and very nice. My fingers are crossed!:diamond-ring:

My Dad took video of the find and it should be uploaded to our channel soon!

Thank you!

What is the ring marked?

You could buy a diamond tester off eBay. Our why do they have to know if it's found or not? They either want your business our they don't

Very sweet. That is weird they wouldn't give you a opinion on it.I don't understand that one? Hope it turns out to be a diamond for you..

Sweet find,,
Although I haven't recovered any diamonds, I'm ready.
I picked this one up through KellyCo a few years back.

Nice find! :icon_thumright: It looks like a real engagement ring. If the ring is gold it should be marked on the inside. Take a look at it with a magnifying glass if you have one. Chances are if it's real gold then it should be a real diamond.

goto a different jeweler

Nice looking ring, congratulations! You can bring it to any department store that sells real jewelry, they will test it for you. IMHO, purchasing your own diamond tester and digital weight scale will be worth it for jewelry finds. :icon_thumright:
