This prototype looks like a Nautilus with all the holes drilled wrong.
A friend told me he was working on a new prototype for a major detector maker and maybe this is it. I'll drop him a line soon and see if he'll give me a hint. If it is I won't be able to say much because I promised I'd keep it quiet.
If this machine is stable and can actually do what the demonstration seems to be suggesting then it would sell like hot cakes for $2000. If it could get an honest 20 inches on a quarter with good iron discrimination it would sell faster than a small company could make them.
Digging 24" in sand is ok,but I wouldn't(won't) dig 24" in my soil.I would need a jack hammer.Wonder how it is on nuggets? That's where it would sell good.
