Prosthetic limb Co. Of the 1800's

The top left object says The Winkley Co. Detroit Mich. It has threads on the inside. Google says they were a prosthetic limb manufacture in the 1800's. ???? Hmmm

Interesting find no doubt. At least it did not cost you an arm & leg to put it into your collection!:laughing7: (I know! bad joke)

Coool find!
thanks,

I don't what it's for but the possibilities are intriguing. I almost don't want to know what it really is....

Maybe they made canes and crutches...could be the bottom end cap to one?
