I take a yearly trip up north tubing on the muskegon but this year my pan is coming with me! We camp at salmon run campground and the stretch of river we go down has a lot of islands we stop at and the water isnt too deep! Just curious if anyone is around that area and if you had any luck finding some color on that stretch of river. Fairly new to this so bare with me lol

While color has been found in multiple Mi. streams the guys I've known have not spoke of any.
We found black sands on a shoreline well upstream of Grant while detecting.
A friend went back for samples but did not report any color.
One guy snorkeling found a lot of lost tuber items though....
Water can really be high some springs during thaws.
This year should be a tame one though so far.
The main channels and drop/ settle sights can differ depending on time of year and hydraulics.
Too , dams were not always a factor.
