Decided to work a field that NOBODY hunts for some reason. It now serves as an area for carnivals to set up as they pass through the area. Previously, it was the site of an athletic field in the early 20's to a football stadium, when it was taken down in the mid 50's.

I only had about 30 mins to hunt, so I hunted only targets that were relatively close to the surface. (ALOT of good sounding deeper targets that I'll go back for later though.) I pulled out over $2.50 in change rather quickly! Only one wheatie in the lot though, 1955 D. Great fun and going back real soon!

YOu will dig some silver there, no doubt. Good finds but go back. Tennessee digger

Sounds like a silver spot. why not dig deep & leave shallow? Hard Ground???

CRUDADER...I will dig the deep targets, but only had a short amount of time. Plus, had my 8 year old helping me out. The ground is compacted in parts due to building up low spots for rides to setup on. On ground that hasn't been added to, it's a nice sandy loam type dirt and turns over easily. Trust me, my very next opportunity, I'll be pullin more coins from the ground.
