Check the mold seam on that one and see if it runs all the way to the top through the lip. If it does it is probably 30's or 40's though I could be wrong. If the seam fades away part way up the neck then you might have yourself a 19th century bottle.

This bottle could very well be from that era but there were a lot of peddlers selling everything from hair tonic to snake oil in bottles like that during the early 20th C. Judging from the embossing on the bottle I would place the bottle around 1900-1930s. The bottle would have had a paper lable on it but if you dug it then there is likely no chance of finding another with a lable still on it like ones that are found in barns and other buildings. A nice find and worth keeping for sure, congrats.

Well, we actually found an entire crate of them in a very old and abandoned section of town while we were out digging.

We're Trying to go through this area before spring hits and things start growing. who knows how long those bottles had been there ...

They all look identical. We're just trying to figure out the era and maybe what they're worth. We'll be keeping them for sure though!

great bottle! congrats.

The mold seam I was talking about will allow us to date it pretty accurately.

I am just curious but can you post a pic of the crate maybe with some of the bottles in it?

The seam going all the way up means it was made by an ABM (automatic bottling machine). It very well could be from the prohibition but if not then it is almost definitely from after. Cool that you found so many. HH
