Progress isn’t always desired but necessary. Just needs to be responsibly done.


Those who tout progress are usually the ones making a buck off of it. I've watched the town I lived in as a child slowly get destroyed by overdevelopment. It was a quaint little town and a great place to be a kid. But in the late 1960's, they put a freeway near it and had the off ramps go right into the heart of the town. The kiss of death was putting sewers in the town back in the 1970's. Once they had that, there was no limit to the number of businesses they could jam into the area. Now it's just wall to wall traffic every time I drive through the area. Makes me sad to see how badly they raped the land all in the name of "progress"...

Reminds me of the Eagles song "The Last Resort". "They call it paradise, I don't know why. You call someplace paradise, kiss it goodbye."

That is a universal feeling all over the world. Amigos As the world population grows. Does not matter where you go you will meet people telling you the same thing.
