Problem with t-net

I am curious. I have a problem with posting to t-net and was wondering if it is just me or if anyone else has the same problem.

When I try to post a new post as long as I type in the message window I am fine BUT... when the post is bigger than the window and I have to start scrolling down it starts to jerk all over the place. I can't go back and modify anything because it gets too jerky. I can't center my photos because when I try to cover the line I need it quickly covers many lines of text and not the one I need!

I have asked Jeff about this and he says that it might be that I have another application open at the same time. I usually keep photobucket open as I'm posting but I've always done it that way and never had problems before. But just to make sure I closed that but it still jerks around. This is getting to be a real problem for me and if I can't get it solved I will not be posting here much. It is just too aggravating. Any ideas as to why this is happening? :(

Perhaps I should put my pictures directly on t-net without using photobucket? I don't know how to do this and anyway I never used to have any trouble doing it with photobucket before. Why all of a sudden is this doing this?

Good question Mumzie. I too have had a similar problem with the text stopping at the bottom of the field. Just started happening too on the last couple of posts. This thread may be moved but an answer would be great. jgas

I find the text window is full when I do a reply and hit quote. It's blind typing under the full window, then I have scroll it down to see if everything is right, or go to preview.

I'v only had the Problem with Certain
other Sites open at the same Time.

Been awhile ago.

Absolutely

there should be several different posts on how here

plus many posts get ignored for the Banner When
not Posted Directly.

Re: Problem with t-net _ YES, I thinks there is

1.I believe this problem is not isolated to a few individuals but a problem with one of the upgrades that were done a few months ago. I have had 2.this problem also, and just deal with it, but it is a pain, and it does not matter if it is a full post with quotes or not, in fact I believe it also does it 3.on PM's. It seems like once you get down to a certain point in the text box the jerky problem begins. I get around it somewhat by compressing 4.all paragraphs with no spacing until after I am done typing, at least that gives a few extra lines of easier typing.
5.
6.OK, I just sent a PM and on the 15th Line it started the jerky thing, so it does it on PM's and Posts, with no photos, no Quotes, 7.nothing else going on...............
8.
9.Now this is the ninth line in this msg so going to try just letters in the rest and see if the jerkingness , not seeing what the line I am typing on 10.begins.
11.11th line
12.12th line still normal
13.13th liine AOK
14. NOT OK< it is jerky now and cannot see line typing...........
NO OTHER PROGAMS OPEN ON MY COMPUTER
Don

Just keep it short!

I have had the same problem when replying to a post. Usually when I've added a quote. Like with mose everyone else this has just started recently.

This has been happening for some time now , perhaps a few months, and unless the lines used is past a certain point, it probably would never be noticed.

I used the quote feature, then copied and pasted the text. Should I have had this problem? As I get to the end of each line in the message box it will go to the next line and scroll down without a problem. I'll check back later as I am on my way out.

Thanks for that link Nana! I'm going to give that a try and see if that helps!

IT DOES IT REALLTY DOES WORK. THANK YOU NANA FOR THAT LINK! THE COMPATIBILITY VIEW WAS THE ANSWER! Sheesh..... and all this time I've been going nuts with this text problem.

Oroblanco and I are also having the same problem. On posts, and in writing mail.

I tried putting it on notepad, and wordpad, and then, when I copy and paste, it screws stuff up that is below the window still, so, it didn't help. It started a few months ago, thought it was a computer problem, but it now happens with a brand new computer and no other windows open, so, that's not it.

If you put your post on notepad first, check and make sure everything is in the right order, because it has changed where words are in relation to the sentences AND in relation to the paragraphs.

Try that link I posted Ms. O. :hello: SWR had the answer!

Aha!!!!!!!!!!

My IE didn't have a toolbar, either did Roy's. Had to put that up there (IE toolbar) and hit tools - I haven't made a post long enough to check,
but it definitely changed.

Dear mumszie;
The problem is a compatability issue between versions of IExplorer. In order to resolve the issue please look just to the right of the address window at the top of your screen. You should see an icon that looks like a sheet of papaer which has been torn in two. If this is so, then the versions of IE between your computer and T-Net are incorrect. Simply right click on the icon to place the webpage into COMPATABILITY mode and your problem should be solved. Please note that it's not a permanent fix and only by installing those dreaded MS updates with the problem resolve itself.
Your friend;
LAMAR
P.S. When I originally typed out this reply I had not clicked on the link prior. Yes, SWR is entirely correct (when isn't he entirely correct?) and the problem lies in IE 8 however in one those billion MS updates that takes FOREVER to uphold, the issue should be fixed.
