what kind of deals can i get on a prizm mini dd coil and do they lose any depth ?

A deal may be impossible. I've only seen 2 used ones in the last 2-3 years. Almost everyone likes them because they say unlike the big stock coil, the numbers don't jump around much if at all, even when using maximum sensitivity. White's factory advertises them as available direct for the $149.95 MSRP & I think they want extra for shipping. Except for Kellyco, all of the White's dealers must sell 9 detectors locally to be allowed to sell 1 through the mail. Not sure if there are any restrictions on accessories like coils? The depth will be less in most ground, but the smaller coil being DD can handle more mineralized ground & the smaller size makes it easier to separate things close to each other in trashy places.

If you have other questions, you may want call the White's distributor on the toll=free number or call the factory. Also, you can put in your zipcode on White's Metal Detectors - Home & they will tell you your nearest White's dealers, who might have some info on the depth in the ground or in an air test & if they have one in stock. White's did have their own forum on treasurenet.com & just about everyone who had a Prizm 4x6 DD coil said they are never going to take it off!

I would like a 4x6 DD, but also feel charging almost as much for the small coil as for the whole detector with stock coil, I would like some proof it's worth it. Best wishes, George (MN)

I have a Prizm 4x6 on my CMP. Nice little coil. Dunno what kind of "deals" are out there but I'm guessing you're gunna have to pay $150.
Depth is nowhere near the stock 9" spider coil but using it high trash areas, it's hard to beat.

I have had one since June 2012 , I love it . No complaints . The only place you might get it a little cheaper is Kellyco . They are a reputable company and ship fast .

thanks for the replies just picked one up today got out for about an hour then the rain ran me off i like it found some clad that i didnt find with the stock coil got about an acre to go back over when the weather gets better HH

whats the best settings to use this coil all metal or disc out iron?

I disc out the iron . It is a coin magnet .

all metal the screen should still tell you what's there and go deeper
unlike some other company detectors you put in all metal and the screen goes blank

i sold a barely used one for 80 or 90 but they are hard to find. probably should have kept but dont really use the prizm too much. CB
