Privy digs

[Hill Billy]

I dug in the privy again last week and found this pocketwatch back.It has alot of fine detail and some numbers on the inside.Any ideas of age?

I would say brass.Could be wrong though.You need to come out and dig in this hole with me Tom.Unfortunately it's full water right now.maybe next week.... HB

Nice find: I would get it acid tested, don't look like brass to me. I would think this is a middle to late 19th century item.
