Hey all, a short while ago I got a private message from another T-Netter that said they had been following my posts and thought I had lots of good tips and info to give. They asked if I would write a series of articles on where to find the "best stuff" and all the secret how-to involved in finding "valuable items". They said it was for a "local publication" that they produced...yeah, uh huh.

So I replied this way, "sounds interesting, tell me about your publication and what kind of deal you have in mind". It's been a couple weeks or more and have not heard back from them. I won't disclose the user name of this party because it was a PM...but I checked their profile and there were no posts. Their only activity was the PM to me...did they contact anybody else? Everyone feel free to tell me what you think...thanks. HH

I had a guy PM me asking for information I know nothing about, then he went ahead and started posting, a couple of post on the same subject and perhaps two or three more answering questions. He was vague enough that I thought perhaps he was making a run around the law or something. I couldn't help him anyhow, because the question was totally out of an area where I have any knowledge.

I see nothing against TreasureNet rules so far.

Members have a right to PM each other up until they become a threat,
uninvited spammer, or other problem.

One unsolicited pm is not even close, unless they are selling
non treasure related items like cell phones, or cheap
pharmaceuticals you can't even have fun with imo :unhappysmiley:

from what you said JunkShopFiddler , it appears you handled it well
