This is the back found in the uk looks like it may be some kind of badge any help on this would be gratefully received

It is British Military but it's not like any Cap,shoulder or lapel badge I have found or seen. No idea on its use but looks WWI era.

With the hook and remains of the bar on the back it looks like a buckle to me.
If it were military wouldnt it have Ich Dien on it? Or maybe it does and i cant see it?

Hi crusader & taz42o the size is 4cm round I found a button from ww1 on this site same hunt so could be that period thanks for your input so far
