Hey guys,

Came up with this cool old trade token about a month ago at a old foundation site. most finds were from the 1850's and a little after. I beleive this to be one of the earleir tokens made. I'm guessing 1840 through 1857. I can't find this same token though. It is blank on the back with a rim design on the inside of the coin.

It says Cradle of Canadian Confederation. Charlottetown prince edward Island. Can anyone put an exact date on this token. Maybe give me a idea of mintage and rarity.

Thanks

Jeremy

Thanks for the ideas guys.

I guess everyone else is as stumped as I am on this token. It sure does look alot like the one's from the 1850's. I beleive this one to be a rare early one. Sometime in the 1840's. I could be wrong though.

Ok I will tomorrow guys. It's a really old looking planchet type.

I thought for sure it was a copper of some kind. And it was technically. I don't have a pic of the back I will put it up tomorrow.

Thanks guys

If it was as old as you think it would be published in the Charton book.

Here's one for you.... I kid you not, my digging bud worked in that very building for a few years.
