I found this "Rock" clost to a ballfield in Calera, Al. It is about 2-1/2" at it's widest point and 1" thick. The flat side is smoothe as glass with little sparkles insid the rock and the outside is rough and bumpy. Don't know if it's natural or man made but just that it is a very "pretty rock." Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance...

Thanks a bundle... A "Thunder Egg" is just what it is.. I didn't know what to call it so I couldn't research it but after your reply to my post I looked and that's it..Again thank you..

I know this is solved, but geodes and thunder eggs are largely made of agate and some sort of quartz-related crystal.
