Damnails and I went to our honey hole today and done pretty good. The ground here is very kind to lead. They come out clean with nice white patina. Some of the best bullets we have came from this spot. We each found a small eagle I button, Two general service buttons. Damnails found a eagle I coat button and we both found a few bullets and some carved lead. We also found some melt. I found a VA seal button that is damaged but has great detail. This site was a Union camp that they retreaded from and the Confederates where there the next day. We have found one or two Gardner bullets there but that is it for CS relics. This button was one of Stonewall Jackson's soldiers, was he a prisoner, wounded, our just there the next day? Makes you think! Thanks for looking and HH Nut.
I used my new Garrett Carrot today. Worked great.
