pretty good haul at the school

hit an elementary school this morning heres the rundown;
14-QUARTERS
30-DIMES
13-NICKELS
15- PENNIES
1-1958 WHEATIE
1-1951D WHEATIE
1-1952 WHEATIE
1-1944 WHEATIE
a house key,a couple buttons,a whatsit,a fishing weight and a part of a shotgun shell. if anyone can help date the shell i would appreciate it. it might help me to figure how old this place is.judging by the wheaties i think its older than i thought.anyway heres what the shell says on it..........REM-UMC at the top,NO12 in the middle,SHURSHOT at the bottom.thanks for looking!

I i reading things right it's date is from 1911-1934 according to this site.....http://members.shaw.ca/cartridge-corner/shotgun.htm Give the site a good look over theres alot of info on these things. Nice finds. HH

lol!! yeah i think ive got this ace down pretty good now. i can definatly tell the differance between a nickel and a piece of can slaw by the tone. its subtle but there is a differance.unfortunatly none of the nickels were old.my brother just told me that this school was built in the 30s which would explain some of the wheats.it was a surprise though because it really doesnt look old. it was remodeled a few years back and it looks very modern.i think i will go back and hit around front now knowing what i know. thanks for the nice replies

I love a good clad hunt. There's nothing like the feel of that much weight in your pocket. I did a few of those and had to get a belt. My jeans are a bit loose......and I was constantly having to tug at my britches to keep 'em on.

I did a little picnic area at the local dairy queen....got 14 plus dollars in 2 evenings. Then I did a grade school which I hadn't done in 14 years....and apparently nobody else had either. Same result. I had some really heavy pockets.
