EU.. you have a great wonders in your hands. thou I cant say I'm limiting myself in the knowing of all the stones, gems etc.. I find that your advice/images help me better understand what something could be.. As many of us know.. it's so hard to say what soemthing is without actually having it tested.. Just to say that a stone or rock is (something) can be disbuted.. ThoU i'm not doubting you I'm just saying In my line of work.. 90% of the people I deal with often just want to know about the Basics..

I like prehnite a lot, too! There's something about the 'glow' of it, it really is a beautiful stone!

Thanks budd! It is not easy to know what something could be without having seen/tested it for sure.
But please, a little scepticism is nothing short of being a healthy thing. A little doubt is good.

Most of those I deal with in person also just (at best) wants to know the basics. :)

Thanks Pat!

All I was saying is that don't judge all books by their cover.. or gems by thier color.. Just getting harder these days to actually put a name with a face.. due to all the differant types of treatments (heated/sun faded) others place on stones etc.

That is a beautiful stone! Have never heard of it. I love peridot, but this may top that. The color is amazing ! Thanks for posting it.

SW, I understood. No worries. These will usually not fade to my knowledge. Is probably going into my own collection either way. :)

Mama, Thanks. I suppose not to many have heard of it, it is quite a cheap material but rare to find faceted. (sadly).
Paid less then 5$ for a cabb to re-cut into the faceted gem above. :)

Where do you get it and how hard of a stone is it on 1-10? Looks nice

I got it in a local mineral fair, is from India. Hardness of 6-6½.
Finding it on a quick google shouldn't be a problem. :)
