If that is a bowling ball next to the hat, then the hat is a serving tray ::).......NGE

No, lol. The ball is smaller than a tennis ball but larger than a golf ball, somewhere in between there, the diameter is 2 in. The hat is slightly larger than a CD the diameter being roughly 5 1\2 in and 2 in tall in the middle.

Sorry bout that, I need to put some items to compare scale from now on. :notworthy:

Here is a reference to "Pregnant Father Kits" as a late 1950s "party gimmick"

Dec 1958 Eureka Ca newspaper-
Probably 50's era. The baby boom. EBay value 3-5 bucks. http://compare.ebay.com/like/110518347692?var=vipsrp&sort=BestMatch

Thanks, it seems mine is missing a few items and if unused going for only a couple of bucks, then mine is worth less than the change I have in my pocket. Oh well, it's something to hold onto. :) Still amazing how right on you people are here and fast too. Thanks a bunch :icon_thumleft:

Ok, well the hard rubber ball isn't likely anything of importance so I'm going to thank everyone yet again and consider this solved! :icon_thumleft:

Does the "hard rubber ball" bounce well, is it solid?

Could it be a "Super Ball"?

It could be one of the first "Superball" sold, so it maybe worth something.

"Measuring approximately 1 15/16" in diameter, these are The Original Wham-O® Super Balls®, first sold in black,
and soon thereafter in the colors that I'm offering here - all bearing the "Atom" logo and 1965 copyright date."

Could the ball be an old American Handball ball?

"The black or blue rubber ball, 2.3 ounces (65 g) in mass/weight and 1.875 inches (4.76 cm) in diameter (smaller, heavier, and harder than a racquetball), is hit with the gloved palm (informal games often don't include gloves)."

Hey, nice catch everyone! :hello2: Yep, it's same measurements as the original superball and guess what, I went outside and gave it a bounce and it flew! Definitely a superball! :D Ok, It's not gold I know but it's still a piece of history and I finally have something that stands out in my collection :icon_thumleft:

Thanks again all!

Well, it's not perfectly round, it's worn where the logo would have been so no clue if it was there. It still bounces great, if I hold it just above my shoulder and drop it, it bounces almost exactly the height as it's dropped, about 3-4 in less than the starting point. My son and I just tested it and same result as the video on the site. So far, it's looking good.

Could be a Lacrosse ball or a ball thrown for large dogs.

Well, I found the ball years ago when I was digging at my friend's camp which is basically in the middle of the woods. He needed to put in electric wire running to his shed so long story short, we only dug down about a foot at that point and it was there. I don't know why it would have been in the middle of the woods, we have a lot of wooded area here but still, unless a dog did run off with it, very possible. I will say it's the type of rubber that would chip away if a dog was to chew on it though, if anyone remembers those erasers that would be more of a crumbly type rubber texture, yep, like that but much more solid. But then again, it is old either way for a ball, 20 years or more that I've owned it and who knows how long prior then. I will check on the hand or lacrosse ball later today. :icon_thumleft:

Thanks!
