I have had an outstanding weekend!
On Friday after work I spent about 30 minutes at a Tot Lot that is usually productive. Found very little of the usual clad, but got a nice Old Timer 2 blade pocke knife and then a sweet little 10K tri-gold ring.
Saturday morning I had about an hour at a lot that has recently been scraped with a dozer. Got a little clad, 3 Wheats, a 1943S War nickel, and TWO Barber Quarters! 1892O and 1908. (Bear in mind, I'm in Okla. which only became a state in 1907.)
This morning I got in another hour at this lot, and did not think I had anything good until I got home. Cleaned up a little and had one more Wheat and a spoon handle that turned out to be fully hallmarked Sterling! I'll have to do a little research on the makers' marks and monogram to see if I can establish a little history.
So three hunts in a row with Silver or Gold makes quite a change for me.
All with my Garrett Ace 250.
Happy Hunting to All!
