I have noticed a tendency among some of our newer folk to think of "native peoples" as "primitive peoples". Nothing could be further from the truth. Homo-erectus, associated with Acheulean tools date back 1.5 million years. No one would question if their hand axes were manufactured or natural glaciated stones. Native Americans were not knuckle dragging primitives. Their artistry with bone, stone, wood and other materials make my attempts and even making a foot stool with power tools look amateurish.
