Nice digs. Very persistent for this time of year (with the snow I see there).
Is there any text on the other side of the key? Ritchie & Boyden made a fair number of railroad locks.

Congratulations on the great digs. I really like the brass shot mold and that one looks very similar to one I saw that was from the late 1700's. The top row and the bottom row should be different diameters. Hopefully you can find the other half.

The seated is awesome and that RR Switch Key almost excites me even more! :icon_thumleft: Just as nhbenz asked, are there any Railroad ID on the other side?

Where'd you find all this cool stuff? school, park?

You got SAT down! Congrats. I found my first 1853 seated dime this past Saturday as well.

The knife,RR key and seated were all in the same hole about 100 yards from an old set of freight tracks from 1800's and an old mill site. The other stuff was from the woods across the street that has been well hunted. Tons of shotties and projectiles. Dug a lot of lead that day as well. Had pulled some cool colonial and Victorian buttons from there last year. One was a very cool pewter button with snake coiled around 13 eggs. Also pulled another seated from that area too last year as well as a KG2

I see a CC mint mark! Second pic, below the wreath.

It's a Carson City minted coin. I do not know why you or someone else didn't point that out. You just don't see them very often.

You are just killing me!
