I don't normally set out to go coin shooting but sometimes you see a busted up sidewalk or some topsoil removed that is just impossible to pass up. What is the cut off date I should be looking for in regards to silver?
Thank you,
Michael

For 90% silver dimes, quarters, and Kennedy halfs, 1964 and under is what you want. There are some 40% silver clad varieties of each 1965-1967.

"War Nickels" are 1942-1945 Jefferson Nickles. Any "Silver Dollar" 1921 and earlier is silver. There are a few silver-clad Eisenhower dollars, but I don't remember the dates!

For the 40% halves, the date range is 1965 - 1970. Also the silver dollars go later than 1921, they are the Peace Dollars. I forget the last date those were made, around 1928.
