Deputy Bill Cooper was shot today while issuing a arrest warrant to a dope head. So far all we know is in very critical condition. He does all the school stuff with kids and is one of the best cops I've ever met. Here is a pic of him and I at the range together. He is the old man with the stache'. I'm in the back.

May God bless him to make it through this and may God bless all police officers out there fighting against crime and these irregular Americans.

I was working about a mile away when they were looking for and when they found the guy. Kept expecting to hear gunshots, but unfortunately they arrested him and he'll be praised in prison. Very sad to see two more officers injured today. Especially after what happened yesterday. My prayers are with all of them and I hope Mr. Cooper pulls through.

Yes very sad. This is becoming a epidemic. This man here was one of the most honest, caring, and well respected officers I've ever known. I remember back when we worked together him and I quit smoking together by bringing suckers to work. He would occasionally sneak a cigarette at work cause he didn't want to get caught by his wife at home;) I pray he makes it through it just fine.

Sorry to hear about your friend being shot! My Prayers and hopes that he will pull through okay with have no complications!

My thoughts and prayers and we'll wishes go to Officer Cooper that he will make a full recovery!!! I wish all of our LEO, Military and civilian first responders the safety and honor they so much deserve, that they will have safe careers and return home to their loved ones each and every day! The world has gone crazy, where would we be without them! Just yesterday another officer was shot in Gladstone Oregon, thank god his vest saved him! The offender was shot. I pray Officer Cooper recovers fully to return to his family and life!!!

Well with a deep heart of sadness I have to inform everyone Corporal Bill Cooper from the Sebastian County Sheriff's office has passed away while in surgery. Not only was Bill a good friend to me but a mentor to many.

Hi; May God Bless Him & His and ALL Police Officers. This crap has gotten way out of line. I'll add him to my Prayer List. PEACE:RONB

We've dealt with this man and his family before. Sad sad

Should have torched the trailer he was barricaded in. He claims to have terminal cancer and nothing to lose. Should have honored his death wish.

It's definitely a very sad day. Now his sister from what I hear is posting all sorts of rude stuff on fb about the people commenting on shooting. All over because he missed court and didn't want to go back to prison. A peacemakers life is gone because some worthless scum decided to take it over something he should have owned up to a long time ago

'My heroes are those who risk their lives every day to protect our world and make it a better place - police, firefighters, EMS personnel, and members of our armed forces.''

Deputy Bill Cooper is a hero in my book!

Thank you for your service and may you rest in peace.

His family, friends and everyone that knew him, have my sympathies! May God bless all of them during these hard times and through the grief! And it is my hopes that the Lord quickly takes him home where I am sure that he will watch over others there like he did here on this Earth.
