Hello everyone,

Was inside all day on the computer looking for work. After diner I decided to go back to the pounded old farm site which dates from the early 1900's. I was feeling good and in the mood to take it nice and easy. Within the first few digs out pops a 44 Wheatie. Then I found a belt buckle that I know isn't real old. Brass with a rusty hole keeper. It was getting late and decided to hit an area that I haven't pounded real hard. I dug all signals in the coin mode with sensitivity 1 bar from max. I have learned that even if you get one blimp one way just keep working in a circle until you get a good reading (if you can even get one). Well it worked for my next find. At 5 inches I spied a glimpse or silver. Merc I bet, I thought to myself. To my surprise out pops a 1914 barber. I didn't rub it like I normally do until I got home and ran some water on it. It was a nice 1914 which has very good detail. It was lost early on. I was happy. I have to admit that the detail is nearly mint. Even the Liberty is clearly visable. This is 2 Barber dimes in 2 days. Finally I got another signal which ended up being a shot shell bottom. The pictures were taken in early spring, not today .Thanks for looking, Ron

If you look at the trees in the front yard and to the far left it's the one in front at the far left. This is where I found the Barber.

Great job Ronnie, Nice looking Barber!!! Not sure if I told you about the ACE 250, but try digging
some of the signals that hit on the right side of the screen. You know the ones, that can't lock on to a space on the meter, but keep hitting on the right side. More times than not, a good target will pop out. Just like you, I go around the signal, trying to pull out a good signal. This is true with almost any detector. I even do it with my new Explorer II and Fisher F-75.

Good Luck Ron, I know you will keep pulling out goodies. Heck I'd be hunting were you live. LOL

Wow; you don't see them looking like that very often. Not much wear at all. Congrats on a great coin. Make sure all that turf in the picture gets hunted pretty good! :icon_pirat: Good luck! By the way I'm sure there were plenty of seated coins in circulation at the time that that barber was dropped.
