Hi all,

First post, so apologies if missing info/etc. Just let me know :).

Anyway, I've recently come across this vase when emptying my grandmothers loft. It is approx 18cm high and 10cm wide. Photos should be attached to the bottom of this post.

It strikes me as quite an intrinsic piece, but haven't had much luck trying to match the makers stamps on the bottom (assuming thats what they are!). The first I can see is in the middle and consists of 5 small lines. The second is around the edge, and looks, broadly, like an S and an N (or 2 and S if looking other way on). Hopefully these are clear from the photos.

Quite stumped on this one -- I guess it is possible it has just been made by a small pottery place somewhere -- but thought I would check as it seems like such a nice piece.

Many thanks for any help or pointers :)

Interesting, I love the pics on the vase. I will be interested to find out what century it is from and maker. Congrats on the save
