pottery shard from 1700 cellar hole

any info on this pottery shard i located in a 1700 era cellar hole would be great. it has many finished edges, looks like it might be a lid, im not sure.

it seems to have to many finished edges to be part of a crock, maybe a lid to one?

I'm having a difficult time with my perspective on it but from the 2nd view it looks like a with an applied handle. Salt glazed stoneware
