Found at the beach in the wet sand. Knob? fishing reel gizmo? It's not threaded. It seems the hole is slightly tapered. ??

It does kinda look like part of one, doesn't it? It would be a bit of a strange find for the beach though..........but I've found stranger things than that there!

There were concrete ships, so maybe it was used on one. Would explain it being on the beach.
