Potato Diamond or Horse Hoof Crystal?

Most of you rock people are way smarter than me, geologically speaking. So, I ask you: what is this rock I unearthed which looks like a hoof/half of a potato with an interior of a large diamond or white transparent crystalline structure? My ignorant wild guess is that it's a petrified potato. What do you guys/gals think?

Bottom piece looks to be a cracked open geode. The top piece looks to be a broken piece of milky quartz
