Some of you may want to rethink your posting of finds on YouTube after seeing this. I know most of the ones I've seen from here and a couple other sites I visit are from from private lands or creeks, but evidently Big Brother is watching for these videos as well.

BRILLIANT!

But it makes me wonder about posting certain items here on treasure net!

He was "looting an ancient American Indian tribal village site"!
It didn't say he was creek walking!
Sounds like he was just out to make a quick $$! Besides If your honest and get permission from land owners and check your local laws before you hunt then I don't see any kind of problem. Also why I will not sell/buy Arrowheads it creates a market. My 2 cents!

I agree with Steve know your laws before hunt or dig

I agree guys. What he was doing was completely wrong and he should pay for his transgressions. I was just posting this to make you aware the Big Brother is watching sites like YouTube for things like this, just as I'm sure they peruse these types of sites to see what we collectors are finding. It makes you wonder if we should even be posting pictures of our finds. I know everything I find is legally collected, but we all know that if the government wants to take it from us they will find some obscure law and say we violated it and take it all away.

So, I guess if the gov. said no more detecting...no more coin collecting...no more collecting artifacts of any kind, you would just happily give it all up? Not everyone is willing to do this.

Well didn't they ban hunting for treasure in Florida recently?
If the gov't say you can't hunt, then you can't. Its just a matter of time before all hunting for artifacts/treasure will be illegal.

Molly.
