There are so many whale tales here that I decided to post this. I am sure there are many other folks here that are like me and would love to see those wonderful coins you realed in while searching for Moby Dick.
The easiest way to do this is if you have a digital camera. Even if it is a phone it will do. Many smart phones will allow you to snap up close with macro define and automatically upload it to my personal favorite, Picasa.
Before you get started uploading create an account at picasaweb.google.com.
Start uploading pictures to here. Make sure that when you set the properties for the album have the pictures public or visible to those with link. When you have them all uploaded you will want to edit them down to a reasonable size for forums. I have visited a few forums where the max pixels are 600. So click on a picture and when veiwing it there is a menu that is available at the top that says actions. When you click on this a drop down menu will appear, select Edit in Creative Kit.
You can cut nasty looking backgrounds down here with the crop function and then you will want to use the resize function and just type 600 in the first box. It will keep proportions for you automatically.
Once you have this saved in your album you can display the picture in the post by selecting the icon at the top of the post editor that looks like a tree. When you hover your cursor over it, it is named Insert Image. It will bring up a gump that will allow you to either put in a link to your picture or upload one. I like to put in links. You can get the link for your web based picture by right clicking the picture in your web browser on picasa and click on properties. Then triple click on the long link in the properties and press ctrl+c. This will copy the link. Click Ok on this window and then come back to Tnet and put the cursor in the Insert Picture URL box and pres ctrl+v. Then press OK! Your post will be good to go at this point.
