Looks to me like a large knife and a flint ax or hoe. Someone on here should be able to tell you material type.

Thanks, i just realized the first picture is of the same side.

Definitely a hoe.. I can even see polish on one side. The other looks like a stemmed point reworked into a knife.

Thanks Gator, any idea of the period if u had to guess?

Forgot to add this one, same person found it.

Likewise! Find out where they were found and go see if you can find some more.

They made the hoes that way out where he is NC.

Thats cool, thanks everyone for posting, And Gator, i do understand that you are trying to teach that the culture differentiated across the country, probably because of different conditions, terrain, and whatnot.... Thanks again for the knowledge.

The second one is obviously a hoe/spade. I can see the wear. They wear in a slant. I think you are probably right on what I called a bow tie as well. But, I find them similar to that around here. I can show you a few later. I'm not sure that they aren't large hafted scrapers. I know that sounds way out of line, but compare the wear on the second and third pics.

I probably post way too often On some threads.. I mean no harm. I just do alot of research on threads that interest me and like to share what I found out. Anyone who knows me beyond printed text knows I mean well and would do almost anything for a friend. At the end of the day.. I'm an outspoken construction worker... my apologies.
And I do see what could be impact damage on that last one.

No apologies needed my friend, i think its all in the way one reads and interprets text, i appreciate the research that you do! Really in the mass of it, we all can learn even more, because what one of us gets out of a certain thing, someone else might get something slightly different. Then we are able to put a greater picture together with all the different views.

Text can make things come across in the wrong nature. Gator, keep on posting as you do. You are a great access here. It took me a minute to realize your intentions are good, just as it has been with others on here. You do take time to post your thoughts, where others do not. Some of the highly respected guys on these sights have yet to offer me any advice. Let them have their high horse status. It's members like Gator that get questions answered. The others..... Well...

Nice knife!! The material of the knife is Mozarkite. The hoe is made out of another Missouri chert, can't remember name of it...........GTP
