Post dates?

Why are the latest posts in a thread dated as being made today, when often they were posted days, if not weeks before?
This is a fairly recent happening. Frustrating opening a “today” post only to find out it was some time ago and already read.

No it’s not. I’ll reference one when it happens again. I’ve had my own posts labeled as “today” for a week after it was originally posted.
