I found all these items around couple cellar holes. The Half Cent is 1825. The old button is cool with the gilt still on the back, but I cant find the maker of button in my dating buttons webpage?
What would really be special is if this US navy piece dates along with all the rest of the early 1800's items I found today. Its silver and heavy.
Anyone know anything about this?

don't know but that is a very nice piece. very very cool, pretty darn awesome

By the font style alone , I seriously doubt that the navy piece predates WWI. I'm no expert on militaria , just a style based opinion . Nice finds

Wow! Thanks Squirrel322, This website never fails to amaze me. O well not 1800's but the old cellar hole is now old boy scout land from 1920's thru 1960's.
I guess one them scoutmasters must have dropped this. It was also not buried as deep in the ground as the other items so it makes sense
