1st - I noticed this was your very first post Kem - so, Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

2nd - It would be very helpful if you could provide some measurements.

3rd - I moved your request from Today's Finds! over to Our Discoveries > What Is It? for more exposure.

Just a guess here but this looks like a blacksmiths "hot punch". Although it is somewhat small in size it has the correct shape geometry for that type of a tool. FYI I do blacksmith as my other hobby besides detecting and the hot punches I make are always a thicker in the middle than at the end. That way they release after being driven through the metal. Something that size would most likely be used for small decorative items or perhaps even jewelry. Cool find my friend, again, just a guess.

This one I messed up on a bit. When converting metric to US sizes I had the wrong multiplier. That being said I still think it may be some kind of punch but possibly for leather work.
