🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Possible ring?

Dug it 2 inches deep is it a ring if so how old is it? I would guess 100 years am I right? Dug in Atlanta GA woman’s ring maybe?

I'd say a man's ring looking at the size.

The inside diameter looks too arched to be a ring. I think it looks like the outer race of a bearing, possibly one the was used inside a cylinder/tube.
Reminds me a little of the rings that came with the older Carom Boards game sets.

I agree with Blackfoot. I think the inner surface would be sharp to the skin and make for uncomfortable wearing?

What metal is it? Brass?

It is made like a hollow back bangle bracelet but the diameter is too small.

Possibly an earring or necklace charm.

Edit- I see some like this described as hair rings. Possibly African.
I lock or braid of hair would be inside this ring, multiple rings would be used for adornment.

Looks like a piece of copper tubing that was cut with tubing cutters
