Found this item in the ocean a couple of days ago. At first I thought it was a ring but now I'm second guessing due to how it appears to be constructed. It looks like the there were two tabs with a gap in between them, instead of a complete circle like the average ring. The material appears to be copper or brass but there's a 925 stamp on the inside. I thought silver was stamped 925? Any help with identifying this item and the material would be appreciated!
