Found this item in the ocean a couple of days ago. At first I thought it was a ring but now I'm second guessing due to how it appears to be constructed. It looks like the there were two tabs with a gap in between them, instead of a complete circle like the average ring. The material appears to be copper or brass but there's a 925 stamp on the inside. I thought silver was stamped 925? Any help with identifying this item and the material would be appreciated!

Silver plated, maybe a toe ring with the opened side.

Some rings are open on the back like that.

Surprising that it was found in saltwater and it is not tarnished black.

Too large for a toe ring...

I see numbers but, not so sure they are 925
