Like most of my finds, these relics were dug in my 1850's field that produces pre-civil war militaria and coins.
I'm fairly sure the round thing is a reins guide but the T shaped relic has me stumped.
Does anyone have an idea as to what it is? Thanks in advance.

Rein guides are typically brass. I'm thinking horse bridle ring.

Is the shaft on the 'T' item round or squared off? Hard to tell from the pics...

Not sure because of the rust but will take a closer look after work.

Thanks .. That is an interesting piece. It looks like the shank is threaded, and has an unusual tip to it. My guess is that it is some kind of tool. Sure would like to see it after electrolysis!

My first thought was antique doorbell "twist knob".

My first thought was an antique iron gimlet, similar to the top one in the photo below:

There are some cool Iron Relics still out there , Ill admit , I'm Way behind on my 'Cooking' , I just bought a half gallon of white vinegar & hope to throw several 'What is it's' in for a good soak ,'To get a better idea of what I have ' then Cook/Electrolysis the most intriguing pieces & recycle the junk.

Nice Iron Finds GopherDaGold
