Possible point

Found at the park I work. We tilled up a large area for planting seed awhile back. I been causally scanning it when I’m over near it. Found this today. Looks like markings. The second pic is natural light.

I would take possible out, and stick with the point.

It's still a bit hard to tell, but that sure looks like a point to me.
 

Nice little point find. Probably dates late Woodland to Mississippian period. I found 2 that looked like it but there was many triangle types that it could be. I chose the 2 and one didn’t have any example pictures.

I do not believe your find is a point. You need to research on the basics of uniform flaking and types of points in your area. This will help you in identifying artifacts. I wish you luck in your searches for artifacts.
 

Rhyolite is a material they used a lot in NC and VA. It’s a very grainy type of stone that they liked to use cause it was easy to knap.
