well myself and CWDIGGER got out this morning for about an hour or two this is all we found, at first i thought omg i've dug a plate but after cleaning a bit i have no idea what it is and thought someone on here would know so heres some pictures thanks for looking HH

I should have said I am just taking a wild guess. I seem to remember oval shaped bicycle licenses around the turn of the century. It may also be a part number tag. (guess) http://images.google.com/imgres?img...que+%22bicycle+license%22&hl=en&lr=&sa=N&um=1

I think you have an inspection tag for a wood pole. BTC is the suppliers brand. SP is for southern pine. SK is for chromated copper arsenic preservative treatment. The numbers are for the preservative retention and length. I think this is right.
