Possible NoVa sites

There is a strong possibility that I will get access to two sites in northern Virginia. One is right down the road from the Manassas battlefield and the other is between Leesburg and Harper's Ferry. Only "problem" with the 2nd site is that the owner will probably want me to document (as in location on farm and photograph) and leave any historically important finds with him (owner is very in to researching and documenting the history of the property, to the point of having archeology students do digs).

If I do get access to these properties, anybody want to go with me?

Wish I could! I was born and raised in NoVa (Arlington). Moved down to Tidewater Va 3 years ago and just got my MD for Christmas this year. My daughter lives in Centreville but I don't have to go up for a few more months yet. That area is so rich in history - and so much of it is being torn up with subdivisions that it must be heaven if you can get in.

when are you planning to do this? I live in Martinsburg,WV which is not far at all from you.

I should get a response on my permission request by the 24th of February at the latest (that's the next time I know I will be seeing my point of contact for the properties). Then I still have to get a MD, but I figure March is a go.
