🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Possible Native American Pottery piece

I'm curious i have a large farm field in the back of my house that extends way far back I took a walk one day and found this way back there it looks like it could be a piece of pottery maybe native American I'm not sure I could be wrong this time

I'm no expert, but is it glazed? I don't recall ever seeing glazed Native American pottery.

Looks almost more like a piece of broken stoneware to me :dontknow:

Doesn't look like indian pottery, they used pieces of shells, grass and crushed pieces of stone to strengthen the pottery, it looks like it is glazed too, ancient Indian pottery wasn't glazed.

I believe that it is some type of slag. I've picked up similar pieces before but I can't remember exactly where, maybe around the old brickyards close to me.
