Interesting find, is it magnetic? :dontknow:

My first reaction is to suggest you find a tripod or other device to use when taking close up images. Handheld anything will not produce closeup, detailed images that I can base an opinion on.

That said, I have no reason to opine yes or no. Could be a fragment of a meteorite, or any of dozens of types of rocks.

Better pics, and a narrative on the characteristics that lead you to believe it may be a meteorite fragment would be very helpful. Please get you information on characteristics of meteorites from websites of certified labs. That would be more helpful than the misinformation that is typically offered here.

Time for more coffee.

Many people post rocks they want ot know if they are meteorites I dont think Ive seen any turn out to be. Smart to ask and learn though. Try posting it in the rock and gem forum might get more info. Tommy

Nice find!! Maybe ! Maybe not? 99.9% of all sent in are not! but? do your online research and decide, I send them in if i am ques-tenable. It cost only the price of the stamps and return envelope and a wait for about six months are so. THE FIELD Museum Robert A Pritzker Center for Meteorite and Polar Studies Chicago,Illinois. They have a field test form ( printable online) to answer questions and then you decide. I have learned a lot by sending in JUNK

What part of Canada? If Ontario, it kinda looks like some of the silver ores I've seen from there. I can't tell for sure.

The brown on the stone suggests it is several hundred years old, at least. Hoping you are right, though.

Edges are too sharp in my opinion. Meteors do not have sharp edges, I found out while researching.
