Went to the river bank today for a few hrs. , Had to get out before the Snow on Wen. / But We live in a Very Old Historical area of New York , Once populated with Indians / Anyway I found this Rock w/ a hole threw it ,kinda ornate and looks Worked? the hole is slightly bigger on the back.Could be a Fishing sinker to ??? That's really a stone? It looks a lot like the type of nut that is welded to an automotive frame, I'd swear I even see the remains of threads inside the hole.
-I'm not doubting you, just commenting on the striking similarity. I hope it is just what you're thinking!

Yeah , Pic#1 on the far Right it had a small chip , I even ran it under the M.D. ... The marks are hopefully from a Indian Tool ? lol

could be, but over here in the Finger Lakes, they was up on shore all over the place---we call them 'Lucky stones'--

Thanks , Love them Finger Lake's... I'm about 30 miles South of Cayuga Lake in Owego N.Y. ///I have talked to the Older gen. some and they said Every Spring they would walk the river bank in spots and find Old Indian Artifacts all over the shore line . I'm sure most have been picked clean but people find arrow and spear tips a lot here so I was just wondering about this Stone. What Lake do You find these Lucky Stones at ??? Thanks Garry
